Hello I am Lavanya. Being a Transgender I had my own lifestyle. Going around shops asking for money and indulging in sex activities. Nobody was bothered about me and I did not have a job or know any means of earning money other than begging and sex work. The ngo FIND WOMEN SOCIETY trained me in soap making and also provided the raw materials for making soaps. Now I earn from soap making. I would like to thank the NGO for the help and support given to me.
My name is Vennila. My husband who was a tailor abandoned me and my two kids and eloped. I was helping my husband in button stitching and in gaja work but never learnt cutting and stitching clothes. After he left I was clueless and did not know what next. I wanted to continue the tailoring job and so decided to learn tailoring. But could not afford to pay fees for the tailoring classes. Then had no other option but to become a housemaid. When I heard of free tailoring classes that was conducted by FIND WOMEN SOCIETY, it was a dream come true for me. They trained me to stitch blouse and churidar. I am happy and thankful for it.
